Rios of Mercedes expanded into broader cowboy boot markets in the early 1990s. The boot-maker’s proven expertise in cowboy boot design and manufacturing birthed Anderson Bean, boots for the discerning buyer of quality, American-made boots at moderate price points. Seeing the need for high-quality boots at an even more accessible price point, the Macie Bean for Women and Horse Power brands (crafted in Leon, Mexico) were developed.
Shortly after the creation of Anderson Bean, Rios of Mercedes revived the Olathe Boot Co., a heritage brand with a long and rich history. More traditional styles, born of a long-time commitment to quality, became available to boot wearers with fond memories of the original Olathe Boot products.
