Olathe Boot Company

Tracing its roots back to 1875, few boot brands can claim a pedigree as legendary as the Olathe Boot Company. According to legend, a cowboy passing through town on his way to the Kansas City Stockyards stopped by a local work-boot maker and requested a pair with a pointed toe, raised heel, and a wide, scalloped edge. Legend has it that then and there, the iconic American cowboy boot was born.
Over the decades, the brand underwent several ownership changes until Rios of Mercedes added Olathe to the Family of Brands in 2001.
